menu of services

Thanks to modern medicine, it has never been easier to take wonderful care of your pet. The availability of good quality foods (many tailored to specific health needs), easy-to-use applications for the prevention of pests and parasites, and effective vaccines and treatments for the ongoing prevention of diseases are all at your fingertips.

Most of the common problems and illnesses that afflict our pets can easily be addressed with a house call. These include arthritis, allergies, skin problems/itching, eye and ear problems, coughing, sneezing, vomiting. diarrhea and a great many others. Whether a house call or hospital visit is more appropriate can usually be determined with a phone consultation. If, at any time, Dr. Peters feels a patient needs diagnostic, therapeutic or surgical treatment beyond the scope of a house call, he immediately refers that patient to one of several full-service hospitals with whom he has a working relationship and in whom he has complete confidence.

Dr. Peters is licensed to prescribe medications in both Iowa and Nebraska, and is able to dispense many medications himself. Others, he authorizes through local or Internet pharmacies or via 1-800-PETMEDS, depending on the client's preference.

Fees for HouseCall Veterinarian services and dispensed products vary, but are generally very similar to those of fixed-location practices. Most of the costs are listed below, but feel free to call at any time for price quotes.
